For the last 18 months, Rob Paulin and his crew have been boating to Matapara / Pickersgill Island to volunteer and give birds a helping hand by servicing and monitoring a trapping network to keep rats and stoats at bay. Thanks to their efforts, the 96 hectare island is now covered in regenerating forest and birds are starting to call it home. Read story

We meet Anna, mother of four and a keen urban trapper, as she installs her first Goodnature A24 trap. Anna's house backs onto a newly created nature reserve. With the support of local group and involvement of the Aro community.

Tom lives in Wellington, New Zealand. He owns a flat in the central city with a small backyard and shares it with his four flatmates. He needed the most simple, effective way to catch rats, one that would keep on working even when he’s away.

Thanks to Bluetooth tech, ongoing kill monitoring can be checked from the backyard of a neighbour with the Chirp App on their smartphone and reported back to the team, without anyone having to trek right to the trap.
